1. Not a Germany Jr.!!!

Austria and Germany are different countries and Austrian's won’t appreciate it if you compare them with German's. Austrian people speak German but they don’t like to be associated with Germany! There are many differences between their cultures and even the language they use.

2. Perfect tourist infrastructure

Austria has endless tourists who are served with an excellent infrastructure in the form of hotels and public transport. Which means, as a tourist, you’ll feel extremely well-catered to in this country. This will make your experience a whole lot more worthwhile

3. Strong national pride

Austria is a country with rich history so you can easily find loads of historical sites and museums. Austrian people’s love of their country can be infectious, so don't be surprised to see bundles of enthusiasm when being lead around by a tour guide.

4. Wine is better than beer

This is not Germany! Austria has better wine rather than beer and the white wine is fantastic. But don’t worry, beer is great as well, and you can find some beer gardens in Austria if you’re interested in that.

5. High-calories are everywhere

There’s nothing easier than finding a café with lovely cakes or a restaurant with meat in Austria. They’re so amazingly tasty that you’ll neglect their calories or the decision to be on diet. Don't you want to try some now?
